Dit appartement in The Robin is zo’n plek.

Wonen in The Robin betekent ook gemak.

TURNKEY LIVING WITH THE CITY AT YOUR FEET, GREENERY AROUND THE CORNER AND SITUATED ON FREEHOLD LAND

Living in The Robin: a bright and sustainable 105 m² corner apartment in the unique Bajeskwartier

Every now and then, you come across a home where everything comes together: space, light, comfort and a location that makes you feel part of something special. This apartment in The Robin is exactly that. Here, you live in a peaceful, green setting, while the energy of Amsterdam is always within easy reach.

From the moment you step inside, there is an immediate sense of calm. Thanks to its corner position and almost entirely glazed façades, daylight enters the apartment from two sides. The trees, greenery and open surroundings almost become part of the living room. It is a place where you can enjoy a quiet coffee in the morning while looking outside, and return home after a busy day to an environment that instantly helps you unwind.

Completed in 2024, The Robin combines the quality of a newly built home with the atmosphere of a neighbourhood that already feels alive. The apartment is completely move-in ready, has an A++ energy label, is situated on freehold land and has been designed with sustainability and everyday comfort in mind.

A HOME THAT ADAPTS TO YOUR LIFESTYLE

The living room forms the natural heart of the home. Not only because of its generous proportions, but especially because of its connection with the outdoors. The large windows allow the light to change throughout the day, giving the apartment an open and spacious feel.

The open-plan Siematic kitchen blends seamlessly into the living area. The kitchen island is not only a practical place for cooking, but naturally becomes the place where everyone gathers. Whether it is a morning coffee, cooking an elaborate dinner with friends or enjoying a final conversation at the end of the evening, this space is designed for everyday living.

The kitchen is finished to a high standard and equipped with Siemens appliances, a Quooker and an integrated climate-controlled wine cabinet. Everything you need is there, without overwhelming the space.

Adjacent to the living room is a home office of approximately 6 m². It is an ideal space for working from home, but can easily be used for other purposes. Thanks to the glass door, it remains visually connected to the rest of the apartment.

SPACE TO LIVE, WORK AND UNWIND

The layout of the apartment is surprisingly practical. The principal bedroom offers plenty of space for a comfortable bed and a peaceful start to the day. The second bedroom demonstrates just how flexible the apartment can be: currently arranged as a stylish walk-in wardrobe with a workspace, it can instantly be transformed into a fully functional guest room thanks to the Murphy bed.

The bathroom continues the calm and refined aesthetic of the apartment. It features a spacious walk-in shower with a rain shower, a modern washbasin unit and high-quality finishes. The separate toilet has a stylish feature wall with anthracite-coloured tiles laid in a herringbone pattern.

Everyday comfort has also been carefully considered. Thanks to the heat pump, underfloor heating, floor cooling and smart ventilation system with heat recovery, the apartment offers a pleasant indoor climate throughout the year. Fresh, filtered air, comfortable temperatures and energy-efficient living all come together effortlessly.

ORIGINAL DETAILS

The living room also incorporates original walls from the former Bijlmerbajes prison complex, providing a subtle nod to the location’s history while adding a distinctive urban character.

THE BAJESKWARTIER: A NEW NEIGHBOURHOOD WITH A CHARACTER OF ITS OWN

What makes this apartment even more special is its location. The Bajeskwartier is not simply another new-build development, but a new Amsterdam neighbourhood centred around sustainability, greenery and community.

On the former site of the Bijlmerbajes, a vibrant new district is taking shape with almost seventy gardens, green roofs and communal spaces where residents can meet and connect. It is an ecological community neighbourhood where the focus goes beyond constructing buildings and extends to creating a new way of urban living.

The Robin fits perfectly within this vision. The building features an impressive atrium that serves as a central meeting place, as well as communal roof terraces on the fifth and ninth floors. These are ideal places to spend a summer evening with neighbours while enjoying views towards the Amstel and the Amsterdam skyline.

COMFORTABLE LIVING WITH EVERYTHING TAKEN CARE OF

Living in The Robin also means convenience. The building has a communal bicycle storage facility, while the mobility hub provides access to shared electric mobility for those who do not need their own car.

Even the smaller aspects of everyday life have been thoughtfully arranged. For example, the service centre in the building can accept parcels on your behalf when you are not at home. These are exactly the kinds of amenities that make living here not only attractive, but practical and comfortable as well.

THE AMSTEL, RESTAURANTS AND THE CITY WITHIN EASY REACH

Despite its green surroundings, you are still right in the heart of Amsterdam. The Bajeskwartier borders the Amstelkwartier and Overamstel, neighbourhoods each with their own identity, varied architecture and a diverse mix of residents.

The Amstel is literally around the corner. Take a walk along the river or settle in at one of the many inviting restaurants and cafés nearby. L’Osteria, Thuis aan de Amstel and De George are all great places for lunch, dinner or drinks by the water.

Amsterdam city centre can be reached in approximately ten minutes by bicycle. Spaklerweg metro station is within walking distance, Amsterdam Amstel station is nearby, and both the Zuidas business district and the A10 ring road are easily accessible.

In short, this apartment embodies an urban lifestyle and a contemporary way of living. Abundant natural light, exceptional comfort and a home in a neighbourhood that continues to evolve. The Robin combines the tranquillity of green surroundings with the energy of Amsterdam: a future-focused home in a location that already feels truly special.
