OMGEVING:

SURROUNDINGS:
IJburg is clearly on the rise and offers a marina with many waterfront restaurants, new trendy cafés, a cinema and theater, various activities in the field of sports, art and culture, several parks, a water sports association and artistic Amsterdam shops. Remarkable about the population is that many creative and entrepreneurial people live here. This is reflected in the special architecture in which residents have often had a hand themselves.

The Diemerpark, twice the size of the Vondelpark where one can walk, run, cycle and skate to their heart’s content, is within walking distance. There is a football and hockey club and the park even has its own small beach with sunbathing area. IJburg also has another beach: Blijburg, a beautiful spacious beach on the IJmeer, accessible daily for swimming, sunbathing or getting fresh air. The cozy beach pavilion regularly provides not only food and drinks but also parties and festivals for all ages.

On Haveneiland there is a shopping center with among others artisanal fresh shops, various lunch and espresso bars, a large Albert Heijn, an organic supermarket, HEMA, Vomar, hairdressers, Action and Bruna with a PostNL post office. At the marina there are various catering establishments. There are also facilities such as primary schools, the Terra Nova College for secondary education (VWO, HAVO and VMBO), childcare, libraries, gyms and a medical center. In addition, the large marina E. Peek should be mentioned; this is also within walking distance. Due to the surrounding water and navigable canals IJburg has a maritime character.

IJburg is a water-rich, quiet and inspiring environment. An ideal location to live with the center of Amsterdam at 10 minutes distance via tram 26. The A1, A9 and the ring road A10 can be reached within a minute. It is a beautiful alternative for people who want to live spaciously, urban and outdoors, but still prefer to remain connected to the center of Amsterdam. In short, a wonderfully central water-rich place to live.
